We’ve been working for 12 years to build a reputation for
· original artistic work
· global thinking
· individual artistic accountability
· professionals sharing resources
On September 30th of last year, PushPush became a fully open-sourced professional arts organization. Find out more at Wikinomics and our open-source document.
We hope to further meet these aims with the
following projects, all of which are connected to our new Portal
Project, a joint venture of
PushPush and 7 Stages in cooperation with Goethe Zentrum and artists both
nationally and around the world. The mission of the Portal Project is to make
exchange of new and emerging voices more affordable and frequent.
Through this program we hope to bring to Atlanta a full season of productions, screenings, workshops, residencies, and global
artistic discussion, as well as establish a permanent home in Berlin to provide a portal for regular passage to individual artists on both sides of
the Atlantic.
There is a place for you! Get involved.

Private Dancer A guest presentation by Panic Productions.
|
Private Dancer is part dance and part theater created by of one of Europe’s most acclaimed choreographers, Iceland’s Margrét Sara Guðjónsdóttir. It is a multi-layered waking nightmare where our deepest fears and nervous anxieties are pulled from under the sheets and left twitching in the light, bathed in cold sweat. A disturbing yet humorous ménage-a-trois of Freudian analysis, horror movie, and variety show exploring how received cultural language bleeds into our subconscious, lending form to the dialect of the Id. It reveals what happens when, under the warm blanket of somnolence, the absurd mental theatre of anxiety flickers to life to perform our very own private dance. Private Dancer dares to open the Pandora's box within us all and peer into its inky black depths. Coming in May of 2009.
Check out their show page for more details.
